I’m always so flattered when I haven’t done a trial with someone and they just trust me + my work! It’s the best feeling knowing that your client is at ease and just let’s you do your thing.

Erin’s energy the day of her wedding was nothing short of amazing. She was calm and excited. There was lots of story telling and laughter. It was honestly such a great getting ready morning. I am in love with this soft, natural but enhanced makeup look I created for her. What a beauty!

Kira looks absolutely stunning! I created a full glam makeup look for her using neutral colours. This is a perfect example where someone might consider this to be natural look because of the colours used but in fact, it’s a full coverage glam! She looks incredible!

Also, she was due with her first baby 2 days after this!! Remarkably, baby stayed in long enough for her to enjoy her best friends wedding 🥰

Yesterday I had a wedding that didn’t start until 10:30am (such a treat!), did makeup for 7 beautiful humans, came home, touched up my lipstick and blush and headed off to dinner and Cirque Du Soliel!

It’s been such an incredibly, busy summer. I’m really looking forward to a slower pace next year. But for right now, I’m soaking up all the beautiful people I’m meeting and enjoying all the lovely moments of being a bridal makeup artist! 🥰

Never had your makeup professionally done before a

Never had your makeup professionally done before and you’re kinda nervous? Totally normal!

How to prep for your appointment:

1. Prep your skin!! Good makeup comes from good skincare!

2. Pinterest photos or inspo photos are
great, however, make sure that they are similar. If you end up choosing a variety of photos that have matte cool toned eyes and then other photos with warm colours with lots of glitter you’re going to confuse yourself.

3. Using your makeup artists portfolio through their social media or their website is a fantastic way to show what you like about their work - typically it’s way better than those Pinterest photos

4. Be realistic with your expectations and trust your MUA! You may show them what you consider to be a “natural” makeup look when in reality it’s a full face of makeup/full glam. Sometimes when clients see neutral tones being used they automatically assume it’s a natural look and it’s not.

5. Knowing what you don’t like about makeup is just as, if not, more important than knowing what you like.

6. Book a trial if you’re super nervous and make sure to check in with your makeup artist about availability - dates for trials book up fast! Especially during the summer months

Building relationships + friendships with your clients is probably one of my fav parts of this job.

I’ve done makeup for Jenna + her friends a few times now and it’s always such a fun time. It seems that every time one of them gets engaged I get the privilege of being asked to do their wedding makeup. It’s such a honour 🥹❤️

Carlie got married at Ralph Connor House and I was in awe of this space. If you’re looking to host an intimate wedding, 40-60 people I highly suggest checking out this venue. It’s so different. Such a hidden gem that I had never heard of!

Did you know that less than 2% of the worlds popul

Did you know that less than 2% of the worlds population has a perfectly symmetrical face? Yet, for some odd reason it’s used as a way of equating beauty + worthiness (I know, stupid right!?)

If you ever look at me square on you’ll notice that the right side of my face is much rounder (especially if I smile straight on), my left top lip is straight whereas my right top lip is more full, one of my eyebrows is thicker and longer than the other and I could continue to go on and on.

The obsession we have with making our faces + bodies perfect is unreal. Maybe if we shared the imperfections a bit more we would love the beautiful, unique features that make us different + feel more inclined to accept + love ourselves just as we are 😘
